Raymond Carl Roeschlein passed away at San Antonio Hospital on October 10, 2017 of multiple health problems including heart and organ failure. He leaves his wife of 52 years Mary nee Rypczynski and three wonderful children Michael (Dinorah Cortes-Velez), Thomas and Erika (Terry) Walsh . He leaves three sisters Carol, Elsa (Glen) Heinemann, Sue (Dale) Guzlas as well as in-laws, many delightful nieces / nephews, grand nieces/ nephews , cousins and many close loving friends. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois in Metallurgical Engineering serving his country as a Lieutenant in the Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB in the Metals Lab. Since he could not have a career as a pilot he followed his passion by testing and certifying the metals for aircraft. He had a long career at Wyman-Gordon in Harvey Illinois as well as Technical Director at California Drop Forge in Los Angeles. In his retirement he enjoyed making coffee and visiting with friends. He delighted in researching recipes, cooking in his kitchen while playing all types of music from Pink Floyd to Beethoven and Sinatra as well as watching football, hockey, basketball, golf, auto racing and the Cubs. He was always willing to develop travel plans for his family and friends requiring people to coordinate their travel with his schedule, which was fantastic when it all came together. He was Raymond Hyatt Residence Club Roeschlein. Carl and Elsie can now have coffee with their son in their home in heaven. He lived well, laughed often, loved much and looked for the best in others and gave the very best he had. He was deeply committed to family and friends and gone much to soon. Rest in Peace until we are together again. Viewing on Sunday October 22nd at the Chaffey Communities Cultural Center, Upland CA, 3:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday October 23rd St. Anthony Catholic Church, Upland CA at 10:00 a.m. Interment: Riverside Memorial Cemetery 1:15.
